By accessing, viewing, browsing, placing orders for products or otherwise using www.bmwvi.com, www.islandmotorrad.com, www.islandbmw.ca, www.yourbmwexperts.com, www.yourbmwmotorcycleexperts.com or www.smcycle.com ("website") you agree to be bound by and comply with these Terms and Conditions of Use.
We may have updated these Terms and Conditions of Use by updating this posting and may also make changes to the content or any links provided on the Website at any time. You are cautioned to periodically review these Terms and Conditions of Use to ensure that you are familiar with them.
We reserve the right to discontinue, modify or terminate the Website at any time without notice to you and are not liable to you or to any other party for such discontinuance, modification or termination.

Currency and Taxes
All dollar amounts shown are in Canadian dollars. We are located in British Columbia and follow the Canadian tax rates and rules for domestic sales.
Once accepted, international orders won't incur Canadian taxes, but may be subject to various border fees as imposed by the purchaser's country. These fees are payable by the customer.
Shipping
We charge a flat fee for standard shipping on apparel, parts and accessories . Courier shipping is offered at a case by case surcharge. Call for details.
We charge a flat rate of order total to keep the accounting simple, the growing shipping rates in check and reward clients whose purchases are larger than average.
Our current standard shipping charge is $25 within Canada, and $50 to the USA on accessories, apparel and parts.
Shipping charges for motorcycles incur an additional fee of $500 Canada-wide. Sales of motorcycles outside of Canada will be considered on a case by case basis. Call/contact us first to explore the possibility for your situation. Brokerage and importation fees may vary considerably, as can the list of countries we are allowed to ship to. All on-line motorcycle sales subject to approval before being being finalized.
All items are FOB our store in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada unless stated otherwise.
We strive for quick shipping times when items are available on hand for processing, packing and drop off to the courier (usually Canada Post). We find our typical domestic delivery times to be 5 to 14 days. Hard to find or limited availability products can, and usually do, double that time estimate.
Shipping -- within Canada
We use Canada Post standard post for small items. Large items are shipped via Xpress Post. Motorcycles are picked up at our Victoria BC store or shipped via best method. Contact us for more info. A surcharge might apply for remote locations.
Shipping -- to the USA
Canada Post or DHL to the lower 48 states. USA destinations outside of the lower 48 states may incur a surcharge.
Shipping -- international
International shipping is not available at this time.
Payment
We accept Visa and Mastercard payments via secure payment processing. All credit card information is protected by industry leading encryption and SSL. Your order will be reserved and/or shipped once notification of payment is received. All credit card direct orders will be processed in Canadian dollars. Your personal credit information is not stored on nor accessible via our servers.
On-line customers may choose to send in a certified cheque, paypal or money order (must be cashable in Canada). Items will be held until payment is received.
Store pickups are available in cash or Interact as well.
Qualified Canadian purchasers may qualify for BMW Canada financing on motorcycle purchases -- call for details.
Returns/Exchanges
Our number one priority is making you happy. We will accept a return (minus shipping charges) on all items within 60 days as long as the item is in saleable condition with original packaging. Exchanges (you are responsible for shipping to us) are to be done within 60 days as well. Please call us before any return/exchange shipping so we can work with you for a smooth transaction. We recommend insuring your package.
**Under no circumstances are electrical items, or personal body wear items returnable or exchangeable**
Return shipping costs will be incurred by the customer - please do not send by courier or your parcel will be refused. If you are returning an item from outside of Canada, please mark on the customs form that this is a product return. If this is not done, costs incurred will be deducted from your credit.
Customers will receive a refund either by cheque or credit card.
Any items where the order qualified for free shipping, original shipping charges will be deducted from the refund.
Errors and Omissions:
We do our very best to make sure that all of the information on our site is correct and current. However, mistakes do occur. There are times where the product description or the prices given may be incorrectly marked.
From time to time, BMW will retire products, as all businesses do. Unfortunately, there may be a short delay in getting the information passed from corporate sources, through to us, and finally on to the consumer. We will in good faith alert you to any change in product availability, description or pricing.
If we discover there is an issue with the product description or the price is not correct, or any information on the site, we will contact you immediately and change the error on the website so it doesn't happen again.
